Project 1: A watch that takes care senior people's security when they are on public transportation
Context
when? where? who? why?
When a senior person is on the bus or anywhere taking a public
transportation and he or she wears our watch, which not only has sensor
to monitor its owner's healthy status by comparing those very important
index but also is connected to the whole city emergency facilities
through IoT technology.
When the senior person encounters any accident, for example, he or she
falls down when there is an urgent stop on the bus and unfortunately he
or she breaks the bones or any emergency happens, the watch will call
nearest hospital or emergency center as soon as it makes sure its owner
needs help from professional doctors by measuring those index, phyical
founctions, the owner's position and so on. Besides, it can give the
medical suggestions taking from internet on site to its owner and the
people around the owner how to act properly.
We think of this project because with our commen sense and the
literature review we did, we found out there was a great concern of
security for senior people when they commuting with public
transportation.

Target
for whom?
The target customers are seniors who retire from office and have
sufficent time and money. Those seniors like traveling, but their
current traveling demands cannot be fully satisfied.
The target customers also can be the youth who care about their parents'
retired life.
Service offered
what? how?
As a smart personal traveling assistant for seniors, our smart bracelet
will provide one-stop service for senior when they have trip, including
real-time transportation information, payment, translation, and local
restaurant suggestions.
To enjoy the service, Seniors only need to download the correspondent
application, create their accounts, and bind personal information;
particularly, seniors can add their children social media accounts into
their contact list, sharing their journeys with their children. The
application has friendly layout, which can be easily utilized by
seniors. For instance, when senior type one destination, the algorithm will collect
all suitable information to help senior plan a unique journey, and then
the application will synchronize with the bracelet. The bracelet will
continuous track the senior activities required user's authorization,
enable seniors to take bus, metro, train, and flight without printing
tickets, and remind senior to change public transporation
